An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts bizarre, controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion. Although the motivations of Internet Trolls are varied, some Trolls seek notoriety by going on radio shows, spew garbage and bizarre stories and then sit back and listen when the host confronts their nonsense with truth and reason.
Once the troll is finished being confronted, he usually hangs up and then limps over to his online sandbox like Facebook and posts to his 4 or 5 other troll friends that he conquered another public figure. If you read Houston Mosquito's Facebook wall and interactions with his other paranoid troll friends, you'll understand why trolls live under bridges, have little to celebrate in life and thrive for others to speak their silly little names. God Bless the Houston Mosquito!!!
I wonder if Internet Trolls, the media hound kind, ever sit up at night thinking what life would be like if they had a purpose.
