She is a brain researcher and she also had a stroke. I'm a doctor of Chiropractic and know Acupuncture. I woke up and all I could think of is,'Why is the sun so bright?' As I tried to sit up in bed, I found that I couldn't do that ...........it took me 6 times to actually be able to sit up. I thought, 'OH, this is NOT good!!! I had to sit there for quite a while, til I was able to think abt. the short walk to the bathroom, where I saw my tongue was crooked,.......................that-s when I knew for sure I-d had a stroke. Feeling too weak to walk much, I tried talking and thought I was not making sence, so, the telephone would be useless. Tho a bus that would take me to my doctor ran right outside my house, I was too weak, and felt too unsteady on my feet to walk just across the street, to the cornor where the bus ran. So, the first day, I only rested, and drank lots of water. By the next day, I could focus my eyes enough to read my Acupuncture Bible which had a formula for stroke. My thought was, I-ll do acupuncture until I can get to the medical doctor. Being a little obsessive-compulsive, I did the formula 3 times the second day, 3 times the third day, and the fourth..............by the fifth day, I felt much better, tho still weak, not unsteady on my feet. *I live in a mountain town in Mx. that only has cobblestones for streets and roads. Each day I did the acupuncture formula at least 2 times, and continued to get better. Now, almost 10yrs. later, I have no side effects at all. NONE! Nor did I ever have any. I had the typical left side weakness in my arm and the left side in general, but with the acupuncture, NEVER HAD ANY SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL. Rose Hunter

The crooked tongue is an old indicator. I was in med school in the 80's and it was taught then. Yes, acupuncture is almost a religion to me. Prob. had other life times in China.
