Last week we once again heard numerous voices calling for intervention in Libya. Most say the US should establish a "no-fly" zone over Libya, pretending that it is a benign, virtually cost-free action, and the least we could do to assist those trying to oust the Gaddaffi regime. Let us be clear about… Continue

An emeritus professor at Cornell University, Daryl Bem spent much of the past decade conducting experiments that he believes demonstrate that psychic powers exist. The experiments tested the ability of college students to accurately sense random events, such as detecting where an image will flash on a computer screen.
Bem's research is to be published in "The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology," a respected psychology journal, and it's causing outrage among many… Continue

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Citing worries over an earthquake-damaged Japanese nuclear power plant, a US lawmaker called Monday for giving "emergency pills" to guard Americans near similar facilities from radiation illness.
Democratic Representative Ed Markey urged President Barack Obama's top science adviser, John Holdren, to provide potassium iodide -- also known as KI -- to US populations within 20 miles (32 kilometers) of a nuclear power facility.

The net is flooded with images claiming to be PX. These images usually have one thing in common...they are all lens flares. The dead give away is the fact that the object claimed to be PX is usually bouncing all over the place in photos that were taken back to back...the effect of a moving camera.
If these objects were actually PX or any celestial body, they would remain stationary no matter how much the camera moved. For example, if you took a series pictures of an object in the 4:00…

Perhaps you thought the four-legged BigDog robot wasn’t eerily lifelike enough. That’ll change soon. BigDog’s makers are working on a new quadruped that moves faster than any human and is agile enough to “chase and…
