This being Colombia's most active volcano. In the 2002 eruption some 9,000

people were evacuated. Having over 1 hundred minor tremors. In July of 2006 numerous tremors were felt, three explosive eruptions, ash, gas, 8,500 people were evacuated to shelters. Also in 2008 and 2009 eruptions happened. Two eruptions took place in 2009 Feb. and Mar. Also erupting twice in 2010. We have had seismic activity in and around the volcano since Sept. 25 and 26, 2012. A swarm of earthquakes occurred about 2 km west of the active crater. Signs and readings indicate a pending volcanic event in Colombia.
